Bryan Danielson will get a hilarious new title following AEW Dynamite

Former AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson has been an integral part of the roster since joining the promotion in 2021. The former member of the Blackpool Combat Club is a senior member of the locker room who has always helped out his fellow wrestlers backstage.

Danielson retired from full-time in-ring competition at WrestleDream 2024 after he lost his AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley. He hasn’t wrestled an official match since then and has been away from the ring. During this time, Bryan Danielson has become a full-time member of the promotion’s broadcast team, serving as the color commentator for Dynamite.

Following this week’s Fright Night Dynamite, AEW posted a photo of Danielson in his Hechicero costume, which he wore throughout the episode. The image has been circulating on social media, and former AEW Women’s World Champion Nyla Rose took to X to give Danielson a new nickname, befitting a luchador.

“El hijo de naturaleza jr.” she posted.

AEW star calls out Bryan Danielson following Fright Night Dynamite

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw many wrestlers dress up in various outfits, keeping in line with the Halloween-themed episode. Two wrestlers decided to dress up as other members of the roster. Current AEW World Champion, Hangman Adam Page, tricked everyone with his Tony Schiavone outfit, whereas Bryan Danielson channeled his inner luchador by coming out in Hechicero’s mask.

Following the episode, AEW star Don Callis called out Danielson on Twitter [X] for his appearance. He claimed that the former World Champion owes him a whopping $112,235 for donning Hechicero’s mask, as he claimed that it was his intellectual property, given that Hechicero is a part of the Don Callis Family. He claimed that the amount is the licensing fee that Danielson has to pay for cosplaying as the luchador.
