CHARLY Rolls Out New Home and Away Kits for Five Liga MX Teams

With the 2026-27 Liga MX season getting underway last week, manufacturer CHARLY has rolled out new home and away kits for the five clubs it outfits in Mexico’s top-flight soccer league.

Clubs included in the release include Atlas FC, Atlante FC, Atlético San Luis, Club León and Santos Laguna. Here’s a closer look at the kits and what CHARLY had to say about each of them:

The home kit draws upon their iconic deep red and black, which symbolize strength and tradition. The home jersey is split, with deep red on one side of the abdomen and black on the other. The jersey sleeves alternate in color, with a black sleeve atop the red abdomen split and a red sleeve above the black. This limited-edition piece celebrates the club’s 110-year historic journey while connecting generations of Atlas supporters.

Atlas’ away kit features a white base with a conjoined deep red and black stripe running down the middle of the shirt from the base of the color to the seam. The front of the jersey also features two black stripes on either side of the remaining white portion that begin at the top of the chest and taper down to the bottom of the shirt.

Atlanté is the second CHARLY club to celebrate its 110th anniversary when the 26/27 season kicks off. Atlanté will play the first four matches of the season in a commemorative jersey without sponsors to honor the club and its return to the top flight of Mexican soccer. Atlante’s home kit features vertical wine red and navy stripes with a rippling sublimation of the club’s crest seen in the background. The home kit’s classic vintage-inspired collar adds a nice touch, honoring the club’s 110 years and their return to Mexico’s first division.

Atlante’s away kit is a nice counterbalance to their home kit, featuring a prominent white base with wine red and navy stripes on the front of the jersey and arms. Phrases from the club’s chants and slogans are subtly sublimated throughout the jersey, giving dimension to Atlante’s away kit.

ATLÉTICO SAN LUIS

The final CHARLY club, Atletico San Luis’ home and away kits for the 26/27 season both feature vertical striping that is unique to each shirt. The CHARLY Home Kit features the club’s recent traditional red-and-white vertical stripes, adopted in 2017 when the Spanish club Atletico Madrid acquired a majority stake in the team.

The away kit is a white base with gold outlines of vertical stripes and accents on the neck and sleeve collars. Subtle sublimation of the club’s crest is seen between the gold lines, giving the jersey faint but distinctive vertical stripes that the club is known for. Gold and blue are the club’s traditional colors and the foundation colors of the state of San Luis Potosí.

The design of Club León’s special-edition CHARLY home jersey features a striking graphic of a giant lion across the front, representing the strength, courage, and spirit of “La Fiera.” The special-edition home jersey features the classic León crest, while the away kit features their classic lion image in place of a traditional crest.

In comparison, the León away kit is a more understated design compared to the home kit, featuring a white base, green-capped sleeves, and green extending up the shoulder to the base of the collar.  Both Leon’s Home and Away kits feature a special commemorative graphic that marks the 60th anniversary of the legendary Estadio Leon, making the jersey a collector’s item for fans.

Santos Laguna pays tribute to the club’s roots with a design that reimagines the classic look of the 1990’s. The home jersey features the club’s traditional horizontal green stripes, staying true to its iconic identity. Within the white spaces, a subtle pattern of green striping adds depth and modern detail, bridging past and present.

The away jersey offers a bold reinterpretation: a clean white base elevated by a deconstructed Santos crest used as a repeating pattern, symbolizing the strength of the club’s identity. A single green stripe down the front of the shirt provides contrast and continuity, ensuring the essence of Santos remains at the heart of this modern design.

The 2026-27 Liga MX season kicked off on July 16, and separate championships for the apertura (July to December) and clausura (January to May). Each of the league’s 18 teams plays every other team in each half of the season, with the top 10 teams in the table advancing to a playoff stage to determine a champion.
