Cody Rhodes shared an incident in which he embarrassed himself in front of WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H. The SmackDown star teamed up with Jey Uso to defeat John Cena and Logan Paul in the main event of WWE Money in the Bank this past Saturday night.
Rhodes had Damian Priest on his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast and told The Archer of Infamy a hilarious story involving Triple H. The former champion revealed that he fell crotch-first onto The King of Kings on a bus and struggled to get off him for an uncomfortable amount of time.
“And the bus turned, and it took a hard turn, and right as it turned, I fell towards Hunter, and my entire crotch was just locked into his face, and because of the gravity and the centripetal forces that are happening here, I could not get back. I couldn’t pull myself back and he’s just going… [flails arms around] ‘What the?!’ and then we get to a straight-away, and I don’t want to… we think of him now in a professional sense, and we will obviously keep that, but he had a lot of words for me,” Cody Rhodes said. Vince Russo criticizes Cody Rhodes’ recent promo on WWE SmackDown
Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently took Cody Rhodes to task for his promo on SmackDown.
The American Nightmare went on hiatus following his loss to John Cena at WrestleMania 41 but returned last month at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The 39-year-old cut a promo on WWE SmackDown following his return, and Vince Russo thought it left a lot to be desired.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s BroDown show, Russo questioned Cody Rhodes’ promo skills and suggested he should be writing Shakespearean plays instead of wrestling promos.
“I did figure out why Cody was away for like six weeks. I was watching his promo closely and I was watching him, I think in the last six weeks, did he develop Tourette’s? When did Cody get Tourette’s? Bro, I swear to God, Cody should be doing Shakespearean plays. I got to tell you. And Dutch worked with the man, It blows me away that this guy came from the loins of the great Dusty Rhodes. This kid is everything his father was not,” Russo said. [From 5:25 onwards]
