Concerning replace on injured WWE champion

A recent report provides a concerning update on a WWE champion who sustained an injury during an in-ring appearance last week. The referee officiating the bout was forced to throw up the dreaded X sign and stop the match.

On March 20, WWE Speed Champion Elio LeFleur, Tavion Heights, Eli Knight, and Kale Dixon joined forces to go up against The Birth Right in an eight-man tag team match at an NXT house show in Lakeland, Florida. Unfortunately, one member from each of the teams got injured during the contest.

While Lexis King got banged up due to a knee to his head, Elio LeFleur seemingly suffered a serious arm injury while going into a turnbuckle. The masked man instantly clutched his arm. The referee threw up the X sign and called the match off.

A recent report from Fightful Select provided an update on Elio LeFleur’s condition. The 27-year-old was reportedly in a sling due to the injury. However, the extent of the injury or if the star would be out of action was still unknown.

.@FightfulSelect has learned that Elio LeFleur was in a sling following an injury at an NXT Live Event this past weekend. We have not confirmed if he will miss any ring time due to the injury, and he is still advertised for tonight’s WWE NXT. More details are now available for Select subscribers.

Fightful Select had previously reported that Lexis King was feeling fine shortly after the match.

Elio LeFleu is scheduled to team up with Eli Knight to take on Shawn Spears & Niko Vance in a number one contendership for the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship match on the March 24 edition of NXT. It will be interesting to see whether LeFleu appears on the show later tonight.

Elio LeFleur won the WWE Speed Championship exactly one month ago

Elio LeFleur had his first major break in the global juggernaut by making it to the final of the number one contendership tournament for the WWE Speed Championship. However, the final match against Eli Knight ended in a draw as time ran out.

Consequently, the two NXT stars challenged Jasper Troy for the title in a triple-threat match on the February 24 edition of NXT. LeFleur emerged victorious to win his first title in the company.

Elio LeFleur is already showing great promise in her in-ring work. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the French pro wrestler.
