Wrestling icon and Hall of Famer Sting recently reached a unique milestone. The star ended his legendary wrestling career in AEW.
The wrestling legend made a name for himself in WCW, becoming a multi-time World Champion in the company. After the company closed down in 2001, he made his way to TNA Wrestling and had a legendary run for the promotion. He also had a small stint in WWE and got inducted into the Hall of Fame back in 2016.
Two years ago today, wrestling fans were treated to a legendary moment on AEW Dynamite. Sting and Darby Allin teamed up to defeat Ricky Starks and Big Bill. This win helped them capture the AEW World Tag Team Championship in a tornado tag team match. The win was especially memorable because it marked the WCW veteran’s first title in pro wrestling since 2011. It also turned out to be the final championship of his illustrious career, capping off decades of excellence in the ring. The Icon also ended his career in AEW on a high note. At AEW Revolution 2024, he once again teamed with Darby in his official retirement match against The Young Bucks. The duo emerged victorious, allowing the 66-year-old to retire undefeated in AEW.

The 66-year-old veteran recently completed his Convention Retirement Tour. The star said that it was a massive blessing for him to go on tour and meet fans.
The star said that his career was all about stories and it was an honor listening to the fan stories about how his performances in the ring inspired them in real life.
Fans often look back fondly at Sting’s career, especially his final run in AEW. The Tony Khan-led creative treated the legend like a major star, with an impressive win record of 29-0.
