Cooper Flagg’s mother on Mavericks’ former General Manager Nico Harrison’s sack

Cooper Flagg’s mother, Kelly Flagg, reposted a fan’s post that called for the removal of then general manager Nico Harrison. She clarified what her intentions were after it gained traction.

“Retweet wasn’t about firing Nico,” she wrote. “It was about the fact that the fans were chanting during our free throws. Our guys had nothing to do with what went down. It’s done now so we all need to move on. Hopefully better days ahead.”

Harrison was relieved of his role on Nov. 11 following a poor start to the 2025-26 season, as well as trouble with the fanbase. The decision to trade Luka Doncic to the LA Lakers proved to be the breaking point. Flagg has not said much, aside from calling Harrison a “great guy” when asked by the media.
