“Couldn’t have picked three worse people”

The NASCAR Truck Series is set to debut at St. Petersburg, but FOX’s broadcasting lineup has drawn flak from fans. The roster features the likes of Jamie Little and Michael Waltrip.

Fox recently announced the broadcast team for the 2026 Truck Series season, which saw a reduced role for Little. She’s set to share the play-by-play duties with Eric Brennan and Brent Stover.

Little is the sport’s first female play-by-play announcer, but her calls have left fans wanting more. Waltrip, on the other hand, is known to bring a funny persona to the broadcasting booth, one that may not be to everyone’s liking.

NASCAR analyst Bob Pockrass shared the lineup on X, writing,

“For the truck race at St. Pete, FOX-INDYCAR analyst Townsend Bell will be in the booth with Jamie Little and Michael Waltrip. And FOX-INDYCAR pit reporter Georgia Henneberry will be on pit road with Amanda Busick.”

For the truck race at St. Pete, FOX-INDYCAR analyst Townsend Bell will be in the booth with Jamie Little and Michael Waltrip. And FOX-INDYCAR pit reporter Georgia Henneberry will be on pit road with Amanda Busick.

Here are some fan reactions to the announcement:

“I’d really like to be able to listen to this, for the love of god replace Jamie and Michael,” a fan commented.

“Big missed opportunity, With the Indycar crossover, Will Buxton could’ve been much better,” another wrote.

“Can we please get Jamie Little and Michael Waltrip out of the booth? They’re just awful,” an X user said.

“Love Jamie as a pit reporter, great delivery and enthusiasm, but in the booth, she leaves that at the door. Please bring the same style to the p by p,” a fan penned.

“Honestly couldn’t have picked three worse people to be in the booth together,” someone wrote.

The St.Petersburg NASCAR Truck race is part of IndyCar’s opening weekend. IndyCar commentator and former driver, James Hinchcliffe, is set to drive the No.77 Chevy Silverado for Spire Motorsports. Notably, he’s known for his on-air rapport with Townsend Bell and has earned six IndyCar wins at the street course.

Kevin Harvick shares his pick for the NASCAR Cup race at Echopark

On the latest episode of Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour podcast, the veteran shared his favourites to win the 2026 Echopark NASCAR Cup Series race. He chose Kyle Larson to overcome the field on Sunday’s Autotrader 400.

“I think that there’s a lot of questions about the Chevy, but I like how fast they were, and I got to believe that they designed that car to be more efficient from both aspects. So, I’m thinking a Chevy. I’m going to go with Kyle Larson,” he said.

His co-hosts Kaityln Vincie and Mamba Smith shared their respective picks as well. Vincie had two-time Atlanta winner Joey Logano on her cards, while Smith went for Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Dillon.

Notably, Logano began last year’s fall Atlanta race on pole, but got involved in a crash and finished 36th.
