Dealer Joe’s rooster soup dumplings recalled for probably containing everlasting marker plastic

Greater than 61,000 kilos of steamed rooster soup dumplings offered at Dealer Joe’s are being recalled for probably containing arduous plastic, U.S. regulators introduced Saturday.

The Agriculture Division’s Meals Security and Inspection Service famous that the now-recalled dumplings, that are produced by the California-based CJ Meals Manufacturing Beaumont Corp., could also be contaminated with overseas supplies — “specifically hard plastic from a permanent marker pen.”

The recall arrives after customers reported discovering arduous plastic within the Dealer Joe’s-branded merchandise, FSIS stated. Thus far, no associated diseases or accidents have been reported.

FSIS urged customers to verify their freezers. The 6-ounce “Trader Joe’s Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings” below recall had been produced on Dec. 7, 2023 — and might be recognized by their facet field labels with lot codes 03.07.25.C1-1 and 03.07.25.C1-2.

In an internet notice in regards to the recall, Dealer Joe’s requested customers to throw the impacted dumplings away or return them to any retailer location for a full refund.

A spokesperson for CJ Meals Manufacturing Beaumont Corp. instructed The Related Press that the corporate was investigating the difficulty, which occurred through the manufacturing course of. In an emailed assertion, the meals maker added that “customer safety remains our No. 1 priority.”
