DeAndre Hopkins units document straight on wanting to go away Ravens after complaining about John Harbaugh underutilizing him

DeAndre Hopkins has been in the spotlight this offseason after spending the 2025 season with the Baltimore Ravens. The wideout is not a free agent, but called out a report from analyst Jason La Canfora in a now-deleted tweet.

On Monday, La Canfora tweeted about Hopkins wanting to leave Baltimore during his first year to join a team that was in contention for the Super Bowl, but the front office did not approve of his decision. A few hours later, Hopkins appeared to clarify his stance by responding to the analyst.

“Falso. Felt like we were contenders, especially if we got into the playoffs,” Hopkins tweeted before deleting the post.

The Ravens finished with an underwhelming 8-9 record and failed to make the playoffs.

In December, Hopkins called out then-Ravens coach John Harbaugh for underutilizing him.

Harbaugh, who led Baltimore to Super Bowl glory in 2013, was fired by the Ravens in January. The New York Giants hired Harbaugh a few weeks later.

DeAndre Hopkins is considered one of the best free-agent wideouts this offseason. Although the WR is now 33, he can be used for a specific role if he finds the right team.

In his only season with the Ravens, Hopkins recorded 330 yards and two touchdowns on 22 receptions. The five-time Pro Bowler showed some glimpses of brilliance with Baltimore, but failed to make a big impact for the team.

It will be interesting to see where Hopkins lands for the 2026 season.
