Donald Trump makes case for John Harbaugh in sudden message as Ravens hearth HC after 18 years

The Baltimore Ravens decided to move on from coach John Harbaugh by firing him two days after the heartbreaking 26-24 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers that ended their postseason hopes.

Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti fired Harbaugh on Tuesday after Baltimore ended the season with an 8-9 record despite being billed as one of the Super Bowl contenders at the start of the season.

Although Bisciotti ended Harbaugh’s 18-year tenure with the team, the former Ravens coach has found an unexpected supporter in President Donald Trump. Following his firing, Trump urged teams to sign Harbaugh in his post on Truth Social.

“HIRE JOHN HARBAUGH, FAST,” Trump wrote. “HE, AND HIS BROTHER, ARE TOTAL WINNERS!!!”

John and his brother Jim Harbaugh (Los Angeles Chargers coach) met Trump at the White House last year. The then-Ravens coach had voiced his support for the president amid backlash on his visit.

“It was amazing. It was awesome,” John said about meeting the president. And I promise you I root for our president. I want our president to be successful just like I want my quarterback to be successful, and I want my team to be successful, and it was an amazing experience. It’s not often you get invited, and you get a chance to do something like that as a family.”
