Donald Trump Puts ‘Disgusting’ Liz Cheney on Notice – Says She Committed ‘Egregious and Unthinkable Acts of Crime’ | The Gateway Pundit

Donald Trump has put the disgraced former Congresswoman Liz Cheney on notice.

In a post on Truth Social, the incoming president accused Cheney of committing “egregious and unthinkable acts of crime” during her time as a member of the January 6th Committee.

“Liz Cheney has been exposed in the Interim Report, by Congress, of the J6 Unselect Committee as having done egregious and unthinkable acts of crime,” Trump wrote.

“At the same time, however, she helped the Democrats lose the Election by giving her support – She is so unpopular and disgusting, a real loser!”

Trump’s comments come days after Cheney was referred for criminal investigation by the House Administration’s Subcommittee on Oversight over evidence that she was involved in witness tampering based on her communication with fellow anti-Trump staffer and the committee’s “star witness” Cassidy Hutchinson.

“In the months prior to Hutchinson’s explosive private and public testimony, Cheney communicated with Hutchinson, both directly and through an intermediary—Alyssa Farah Griffin—while Hutchinson was represented by her attorney, Stefan Passantino,” the report stated.

Posting on the left-wing social media platform Bluesky, a rattled Cheney lashed out at Oversight Chairman Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) and claimed that “no reputable lawyer, legislator or judge” would take it seriously:

January 6th showed Donald Trump for who is [sic] really is – a cruel and vindictive man who allowed violent attacks to continue against our Capitol and law enforcement officers while he watched television and refused for hours to instruct his supporters to stand down and leave.

The January 6th Committee’s hearings and report featured scores of republican witnesses, including many of the most senior officials from Trump’s own White House, campaign and Administration.

All of this testimony was painstakingly set out in the thousands of pages of transcripts, made public along with a highly detailed and meticulously sourced 800 page report. The Department of Justice conducted its own independent investigation and reached the same fundamental conclusions.

Now, Chairman Loudermilk’s ‘Interim Report’ intentionally disregards the truth and the Select Committee’s tremendous weight of evidence, and instead fabricated lies and defamatory allegations in an attempt to cover up what Donald Trump did.

Their allegations do not reflect a review of the actual evidence, and are a malicious and cowardly assault on the truth.

Trump, meanwhile, recently said that Cheney and all her accomplices involved in wrongfully persecuting the January 6th protesters should face prison time.

“Cheney was behind it and so was Bennie Thompson and everybody on that committee, for what they did, honestly, they should go to jail,” Trump said in an interview with NBC’s Kristen Walker.

However, Trump said that it would be up to his FBI Director and Attorney General to look into the possibility of filing criminal charges.
