Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has been mentioned a few times in trade rumors. Amid the Warriors’ desire to go after Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, Green has been involved in potential trade packages. The four-time All-Star is viewed as a salary match for Antetokounmpo.
On Tuesday, ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel reported that Green could find himself part of the LA Lakers amid the trade buzz. Siegel said that if a deal between the Warriors and Bucks were to happen, there’s a chance the four-time champion could get rerouted to the Lakers.
Thanks for the submission!
“Green apparently has no desire to remain in Milwaukee, and he and the Lakers would have mutual interest,” according to Siegel.

The trade noise around Green has started to heat up, especially since he gets to team up with his friend, LeBron James. The Warriors player has already expressed a desire to play with the Lakers standout. He believed he had a chance to share the floor with James at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
However, he was not part of the group that won the gold medal. In an interview with Melissa Rohlin of the New York Post on Tuesday, Green expressed his sadness about not being able to perform with James on a global platform.
“I’ve always wanted to [play with him]” Green said. “Saying I wanted to go to his team, that’s not the case. I’m very comfortable in my situation with 30 [Curry] and what we’ve built and what we have.
“I’ve always wanted the opportunity. Just to experience it, to see how he thinks, to see, all right, what I could do to help him and his thinking. Or what can I learn and pick up about what he’s thinking.”
It’s unclear if Draymond Green can join James in LA. It all depends on whether the Warriors will let him go for Antetokounmpo.
Draymond Green gets honest on the possibility of playing his final game with the Warriors
On Tuesday, the Warriors had a 113-94 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. It’s the team’s final game before the trade deadline on Thursday. It could also be the final time that Draymond Green played for Golden State, if he gets traded.
During his postgame interview, Green opened up about his thoughts.
“I think a lot of people want to know how I feel about it, like am I upset about it,” Green said. “I’m not at all. If that’s what’s best for this organization, that’s what’s best for the organization.”
It has been a hell of a run for Draymond Green and the Warriors. During his 13 and 1/2 seasons in the Bay, he formed a dynasty with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Steve Kerr, winning four NBA championships.
