Dwyane Wade confirmed the truth behind a potential trade package that would have brought Allen Iverson to the Miami Heat and sent Udonis Haslem to the Philadelphia 76ers.
On Sunday’s episode of “NBA on Prime”, Haslem and the show’s crew played a mini-game where they pulled cards and answered the questions on them. The former Heat star was asked to reveal the question he would ask any NBA player, and they had no choice but to be honest.
Thanks for the submission!
Haslem dug deep into his bag and chose Dwyane Wade to ask a question.

“One question to Dwyane Wade, and I’ll ask him, did the Miami Heat talk to you when they were about to trade me to Philadelphia for Allen Iverson? Did you know about that?” Haslem said.
Later, the former Heat star said that he believed D-Wade was aware of the potential trade, but they did not have a conversation about it. Wade replied to his former teammate’s question in the comments section of the show’s Instagram post.
“yea my brother I got that call. We will talk about it 😂,” Wade wrote.

D-Wade and Udonis Haslem are two of the biggest names in the Miami Heat’s history in the last two decades, apart from LeBron James. The duo has played together in a Heat jersey for 13 seasons and won three NBA Finals. Both Haslem and Wade have their jersey numbers retired by the Miami Heat.
Dwyane Wade once named Udonis Haslem as the ‘most important voice’ in the Heat locker room
Dwayne Wade has played with some of the biggest superstars in NBA history. He won a championship with Shaquille O’Neal in 2006 and two championships with LeBron James in 2012 and 2013.
Despite playing with the biggest superstars of their era, Wade named Udonis Haslem as the most powerful voice in the locker room during an apperance on the “Pardon My Take” podcast in June.
“He is the culture carrier, he’s the voice. When UD says something everybody listens,” Wade said.
Dwyane Wade said that Haslem earned the respect of the entire team and the management because of the way he carried himself.
“On the outside, people can say anything about UD. But on the inside, you understand that he’s one of the most important voices that the Miami Heat has ever had in the organization.”
Later, the Heat icon said that if he were to become a coach someday, Haslem would be on his coaching staff.
