The Philadelphia Eagles are keeping a keen eye on the health of both star wide receiver A.J. Brown and safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson.

Head coach Nick Sirianni kept it close to the vest in regard to the status of both players on Friday morning.

“We got some time. We’ll see how today goes,” Sirianni said on Brown, who missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday due to a hamstring injury that caused him to sit out Philadelphia’s 22-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday.

“We got today, we got a little bit of tomorrow, and obviously Sunday before we make that decision. He’s working his butt off to try to get back.”

Sirianni said Gardner-Johnson “tweaked” something in his foot during the walkthrough portion of Thursday’s practice.

Gardner-Johnson is looking to face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday for the first time since being traded to Philadelphia on Aug. 30, 2022.

The Eagles’ full injury report with game statuses will be released later on Friday.

ESPN reported on Monday that Brown was preparing to miss “a couple of weeks” due to his injury.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts targeted Brown a team-high 10 times during a 34-29 victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 1. Brown hauled in five catches for 119 yards and a touchdown.

Brown, 27, is in his third season with Philadelphia after three with the Tennessee Titans (2019-21). He has 384 receptions for 6,066 yards and 44 TDs in 78 career games (70 starts).

Gardner-Johnson, 26, has 11 tackles in two games (both starts) this season.

He has 256 tackles to go along with 12 interceptions in 60 career games (47 starts) with the Saints (2019-21), Detroit Lions (2023) and Eagles (2022, present).
