ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings Show Off Their Wild Side With Classic Rock-Inspired Jerseys – SportsLogos.Net News

The ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings are ready to kickstart their fans’ hearts with jerseys inspired by one of the biggest hair metal bands of the 1980s.

The affiliate of the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks and the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks will rock out on Friday, January 30, when they host “Mötley Zoo Night” against the Toledo Walleye at the Wings Event Center. Classic rock will be blasting through the arena speakers all night thanks to a live band, and the Wings will be dressed for the occasion.

Their uniforms, which were unveiled on their social media channels on Monday, January 26, are styled to look black leather motorcycle jackets with “MÖTLEY ZOO” (because Kalamazoo) written in red across the front at the same angle as the jacket’s lapel. A studded belt goes around the waist, while a red shirt with a K-Wings logo and silver chains peeks out from the under the shirt.

The cuffs of the sleeves are flesh-colored, with arm hair and tattoos printed in that area. K-Wings logos appear on both shoulders.

On the back, player names are set in a red italic font while numbers are fashioned to look like they’re made up of metal studs. The same style is used for sleeve numbers and captains’ letters.

The classic rock aesthetic even extends to the bottom half of the uniforms. The pants are blue with chains on the left side. And the socks are blue and include a denim effect with holes on the knees.
