President Trump opened the meeting by highlighting his biggest accomplishments related to border security and fighting to reduce inflation.
“In just over one month, illegal border crossings have plummeted by numbers nobody has ever actually seen before… We’ve unleashed American energy… We’re fighting every day to get the prices down,” Trump said.

Trump praised Elon Musk and his DOGE team for reducing government waste and fraud.
“DOGE is very important, and Elon is here to give you a summary of what’s happening… Letters were sent out to people just to find out if the people exist, do they work… the letter asks them simple questions like, ‘What have you done lately?’” Trump said.

Elon Musk weighed in and praised President Trump’s Cabinet.
“President Trump has put together the best Cabinet ever… And I do not give false praise. This is an incredible group of people. I don’t think such a talented team has ever been assembled,” Elon Musk said.

President Trump got testy with a reporter who asked about Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security.
