The European indices are closing mixed, with the German DAX and UK’s FTSE 100 unchanged and France’s CAC, Spain’s Ibex, and Italy’s FTSE MIB all higher. For the week, the major indices are all closing sharply higher.

Looking at the weekly chart the major indices sans the UK FTSE 100 which did not like the BOE dovish cut rose smartly:
- German DAX +3.28% which was it largest gain since April 28 week
- France’s CAC, +2.61% which was also its largest gain since April 28 week
- UK’s FTSE 100 +0.30%
- Spain’s Ibex, +4.94% which was it largest gain since April 14 week
- Italy’s FTSE MIB +4.21% which was its largest gain since April 14.
As London/European traders head for the exits, the US stock indices are also trading higher with a snapshot of the major indices currently showing:
- Dow industrial average +127 points or 0.29% at 44093.61
- S&P index up 37.73 points or 0.60% at 6377.84
- NASDAQ index +164 points or 0.78% at 21407.36.
