Ex-WWE star admits to sneaking in at WrestleMania to look at Bayley in disguise

A former WWE star recently disclosed that she had covertly attended a WrestleMania event in disguise, all with the purpose of seeing Bayley in action.

The former WWE star, Mercedes Mone, is currently signed to AEW. Prior to that, she had been a major player in the Stamford-based promotion, winning several titles during her time there. In 2024, she signed with Tony Khan’s company, and has been one of the most important names on the AEW roster ever since.

Speaking in a recent interview with Daily Star, Mone noted how she had snuck in at a WrestleMania to see her friend Bayley. The two stars are well known for their close friendship, and this was the AEW star’s way of supporting The Role Model.

“If I wanted to say which match, I would’ve put it in my Money Mag. Everybody knows that Pam is my best friend in wrestling. There’s been many matches I’ve been to, and she’s been to many of my matches too, supporting me. When you have people like that in your life, you show up for important things in theirs. I love being in disguise and hiding, and I’m always going to support her because she’s the best.”

Mone also praised the WWE veteran’s contributions to the pro wrestling business, stating:

“We wouldn’t have this beautiful generation of women’s wrestling if she wasn’t part of it. When you have people like that in this world, you have to support them.”

Another WWE name thinks of Bayley as her big sister

According to Roxanne Perez, Bayley has helped her a lot right from the start of her pro wrestling journey.

Speaking in an interview with Sportskeeda, Perez stated:

“Bayley is so fricking awesome. When she was down at the Performance Center for rehab, she really got to connect with me and some of the other girls that came from wrestling just like her. And it’s crazy because I met Bayley like when I was 14; it was an indie show, and she was there. I met her and told her I wanna be a WWE wrestler, ‘I’m gonna start training,’ and I have a picture with her,” said Roxanne Perez.

As of now, Roxanne Perez is a major name on the roster as part of Judgment Day. It remains to be seen what she plans to do next.
