On Monday, December 1, the trailer for BTS’ Jungkook and Jimin’s upcoming travel reality show, Are You Sure?!‘s season 2, was released. In the trailer, a few scenes and hints for fans of what to expect from the show were also included. While most of the trailer’s content showcased the two K-pop idols relaxing and having fun on their trip together, one part of the trailer garnered great attention from fans and netizens.
Towards the end of the trailer, Jimin jokingly put forth a story from their military days, which shocked the viewers. He revealed that due to conditions at their military base, they were not able to shower for over five days in the military. Jimin continued to add that when they finally got the chance, they scrubbed their bodies pretty hard. Though the two members were laughing and making fun of the situation while delivering the story, fans were concerned and angered by the same.
Many criticized the alleged poor and unfair working conditions of the South Korean military bases, and also called out the reported human rights violations for the soldiers’ inability to take a shower for almost a week. They also highlighted the necessary action required from the South Korean government, and they pressed the importance of aid towards their military, given that most South Korean men are mandated to serve in the military. Are You Sure?! is a travel reality show featuring the two BTS members, Jimin and Jungkook, and the show’s first season was released back in August 2024, during the two members’ military enlistment. The series was filmed right before the members entered the military, to document their last trip before enlistment with one another.
The two travelled to a total of three locations: Jeju Island in South Korea, New York in the United States, and Sapporo in Japan. Some of the episodes of the reality show also entailed a cameo from their bandmate, Taehyung. Following the members’ discharge from the military service in June 2024, it was revealed that Jimin and Jungkook will be releasing a second edition of their travel reality show, Are You Sure?!.
The members traveled to two locations in this season: Vietnam and Switzerland, and fans have been thrilled to see what the episodes of the latest season entail. The show is expected to premiere on December 3 on Disney+.
Therefore, fans and interested viewers can catch the show on Disney+, and two new episodes are scheduled for release every Wednesday.
