FaZe Clan, Spirit advance to last in Shanghai Major playoffs

FaZe Clan recorded a sweep against G2 Esports on Saturday to advance to the grand final of the Perfect World Shanghai Major in China.

FaZe posted a 13-6 win on Ancient and 16-14 victory on Nuke to punch their ticket to Sunday’s grand final of the $1.25 million Counter-Strike 2 tournament.

Estonia’s Robin “ropz” Kool had 50 kills and a plus-15 kills-to-death differential for FaZe, who will face Team Spirit in the grand final. The champion will take home $500,000.

Team Spirit rallied to a 2-1 victory over MOUZ in their semifinal match.

MOUZ started off strong with a 13-7 win on Nuke before Spirit responded with a 13-4 triumph on Ancient and 13-7 victory on Mirage.

Russian Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov had 54 kills and a plus-23 kills-to-death differential for Spirit.
