Step 1: Reach The Deep
The Deep is an underground location that you can access by heading towards the northernmost side of the map and swimming below the boat that’s located above these coordinates: -194, 130, and -4669. To explore this new area, you’ll require a Deep Survey Device, obtained by interacting with the NPC on the boat.
Step 2: Complete all the quests
Inside The Deep, you’ll find the Sledge NPC, placed near the 1P-4 beacon that’s located in the Outer Deep area. To obtain the Scrap-Cannon, you must complete the following quests:
Quest 1: The Deep Main Quest (Restoring IP-4)
- Obtain 25 Chitin Plate for Sledge: Fish at The Deep to obtain this item.
- Obtain 20 Salinga Scrap for Sledge: Fish at The Deep to obtain this item.
- Obtain a Refined Scrap for Sledge: Fish at The Deep to obtain this item.
- Obtain a Hardened Chitin for Sledge: Fish at The Deep to obtain this item.
- Install the Reinforced Housing in Sector 1P-4: After completing all the above quests, you must interact with Sledge to get a Reinforced Housing. Next, interact with the 1P-4 beacon to complete this quest.
Quest 2: The Deep (Scrap Extraction)
- Catch a Broken Flashlight: Use a fishing rod or Harpoon Gun with Magnet bait and fish at Outer Deep to obtain this item.
