New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor’s wife Katia recently reacted to his standout performance against the Milwaukee Brewers with a four-word message. Her message came after Lindor delivered on both sides of the ball in the Mets’ thrilling 3-2, 10-inning walk-off victory at Citi Field.

Francisco Lindor tied the game with a solo home run in the fifth inning and later added one of the game’s defining defensive moments. In the ninth inning with the bases loaded and two outs, David Hamilton hit a ball towards left field.
Initially, the ball appeared to score the go-ahead run; however, Lindor covered significant ground before making a full-extension diving catch to end the inning and keep the game tied.
The Mets’ $341M star, who signed a 10-year deal in March 2021, covered the ground before making a spectacular dive to keep the score level. The play immediately sparked an emotional reaction from the shortstop, who got to his feet and roared toward the Citi Field crowd.
Lindor’s contribution was particularly notable given his recent defensive struggles. He added both power at the plate and game-saving defense, boosting the team to one of its crucial wins. The Mets are fifth in the NL East with a 60-72 record.
Katia Lindor was initially hesitant to let Francisco Lindor meet her parents
Katia Lindor, in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in July, revealed that she initially had reservations about how quickly her relationship with New York Mets star Francisco Lindor was progressing. She became more hesitant when Lindor wanted to meet her parents.
Katia recalled that it was less than a year into their relationship, and Lindor told her he wanted to take that step. She said,
“It was very quick, and I was the one who was kind of like apprehensive because I’m not naive. I knew he was probably seeing other people because he had been in a longterm relationship. And he told me he wanted to be single and I was okay with that because I wasn’t looking to settle down at the time.”
“That kind of changed and progressed fairly quickly and then months later he asked me to meet my parents. I didn’t want to introduce them to someone who is not going to be in my life in the future.”
However, Lindor remained confident about their future together, and his consistency eventually won Katia over. She said that his words and actions have always aligned, helping her to trust their relationship more. The couple married in December 2021 and became parents to three children, namely Kalina Zoe and Amapola Chloe, and a son named Koa Amani.
