Seventeen-time WWE Champion John Cena retired from professional wrestling last December after competing in a retirement match against Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, he is a great ambassador of the sport and represents the brand on every stage.
Away from the squared circle, The Cenation Leader has been focusing on his Hollywood career. The legend is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, Matchbox: The Movie.
Thanks for the submission!
Cena appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show on Tuesday night and presented Fallon with a custom Undisputed WWE Championship, saying, “From The Never-Seen-Seventeen to The Greatest Of All Time,” while also introducing Jimmy as “The Tonight Show Champion.” The Cenation leader pointed out the personalised set of side plates.
Later, John Cena even made Jimmy Fallon do a champion walk, while he played announcer. The ex-WWE Champion also taught him how to place the title around his shoulder, instead of being uncomfortable wearing it while sitting.

John Cena reflects on Gunther’s current booking in WWE
Former World Heavyweight Champion Gunther rode a massive wave of success last year and was on a hit streak, retiring three legends, including John Cena.
It seemed like the company was going to give him a Roman Reigns-esque push, but the Ring General’s booking has been questionable, and he has not been featured in any big feuds recently, and he is also losing matches.
In an interview on Busted Open Radio, Cena said that the company might not be booking Gunther correctly. But The Cenation Leader noted that he was not part of creative meetings and doesn’t know what plans the company might have for John.
“I know there’s sentiment out there that like, ‘Man, they’re wasting Gunther!’ Maybe currently they are. But I don’t see the view from the penthouse. I’m not in those meetings where they’re just looking at the whiteboard, connecting the dots. Maybe they’re just cooling him off. Maybe they’re putting him away from TV. I don’t know,” he said. It will be interesting to see when John Cena appears on WWE television next.
