If the Euro-Globalist elites hate and fear Georgescu so much, he must be doing something good.
After the rightwing candidate’s surprise victory in Romania’s first round of vote in the Presidential Elections, the local ‘powers-that-be’ and the liberal shot-callers in Europe hasn’t stopped shaking with anger.
They are setting their sights on TikTok where Georgescu’s campaign flew under the radar, they will assemble law-enforcement and security agencies to ‘analyze the situation’, and finally, they will try to negate the vote outright.
Romania’s top court has just ordered a very controversial vote recount in the first round of the presidential election.
Reuters reported:
“The Constitutional Court ‘unanimously ordered the re-verification and recounting of the voting ballots for the Nov. 24 presidential election’, it said in a statement.
Having polled in single digits before Sunday’s vote, independent far-right politician Calin Georgescu, 62, surged to a victory that raised questions over how such a surprise had been possible in the European Union and NATO member state.”
The recount will add confusion to the electoral process in the country, scheduled to hold three ballots in as many weeks.
But what’s the beef with Georgescu?
On the one hand, it’s true that he has previously praised 1930s Romanian fascist politicians, which is not optimal, right?
But the real problem for Globalists is that he won’t embrace the real-life, present-day Azov Nazis in Ukraine.
The candidate also has common sense ideas – about engaging Russia and not antagonizing it – which are verboten in Europe today.
Georgescu will face centrist contender Elena Lasconi in the December 8 run-off.
But this Sunday there’s already a parliamentary election is scheduled.
Lasconi condemned the recount:
“’The Constitutional Court is interfering in the democratic process for the second time’, she wrote, referring to a previous court decision to ban a far-right politician from running in the presidential election. ‘One combats extremism through votes, not backstage games.’”
That amounts to say: Romania banned one right-winger only to see another win.
The idea is obviously to have Social Democrat Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu – who ranked third on the vote – overturn the 2,740 votes he is behind Lasconi, so he can face Georgescu in the run-off with all the support in the western world.
“Georgescu gained many votes from young voters and Romanians living abroad, and his campaign relied heavily on video sharing platform TikTok.”
Romania’s telecoms regulator is calling for TikTok to be ‘suspended pending investigation’ into the platform’s alleged role in the election.
And besides that, they are bound to try to frame Georgescu with something:
“The country’s top security body meets on Thursday to discuss potential national security risks stemming from cyber state and non-state entities.”
