The Gem Fruit is an Uncommon-tier crop that can be obtained from the Gem Chest in Grow a Garden; you have a 34.5% chance of getting it.
You can get the Gem Chest from the event NPC named Trader Troy by providing him with all the items he needs. Once you meet his requirements, a streak will start. It must be noted that you can get the Gem Chest only from Streak 4.
Here are all the chances for the Gem Fruit to drop from the chest streaks:
- Streak 5: 7.02% drop chance.
- Streak 6: 8.33% drop chance.
- Streak 7: 10.39% drop chance.
- Streak 8: 13.33% drop chance.
