With this update, developers have introduced Winter Egg, which features five exclusive critters with unique abilities and appearances. What does the Partridge do in Grow a Garden?
The Partridge is a Rare-tier pet that features a decent Passive Ability called Christmas Partridge, according to which all Christmas-type plants within range have an increased variant chance. This ability is not something that will allow players to prioritize this pet over others in the Winter Egg, like the Wendigo or the Moose.
Another important thing to note is that Partridge is an event-exclusive pet, and its ability only affects Christmas-type crops. Hence, it will be ineffective after the festive season is over.

How to get the Partridge in Grow a Garden
This Rare-tier pet can only be obtained from the Winter Egg. It’s the first of five critters featured in this Egg, along with Santa Bear, Moose, Frost Squirrel, and Wendigo. You have a 50% drop chance of getting it from this item. The egg can be acquired from Lumberjack Larry in the main event area after meeting its requirements, or purchased from the Shop for 149 Robux.

Once your tree crosses 61 kgs, you will have a 33.33% chance of getting the Winter Egg per 4 kgs.
