HBCU ladies’s faculty Spelman Faculty will get $100 million donation from billionaire couple Ronda Stryker and William Johnston

A billionaire couple is giving $100 million to Atlanta’s Spelman Faculty, which the ladies’s faculty says is the largest-ever single donation to a traditionally Black school or college.

The donation was introduced Thursday by Ronda Stryker and her husband William Johnston. She is the billionaire granddaughter of the founding father of medical gadget maker Stryker Corp. and he’s the chairman of cash administration agency Greenleaf Belief. They reside in Michigan.

Spelman stated that it will use $75 million to endow scholarships. The Spelman donation comes per week after the United Negro Faculty Fund introduced a donation of $100 million from the Lilly Endowment Inc.
