WWE Money in the Bank 2026 will take place over the weekend, and Roman Reigns will defend his title. Meanwhile, LA Knight had a lot to say about the champion and stated they’re not in the same league.
Earlier this year, LA Knight decided to go after the World Heavyweight Championship and feuded with The Bloodline. After a win over The Usos and Jacob Fatu in a six-man tag team match, Knight finally got Roman Reigns‘ attention and a title shot at Money in the Bank 2026.
Thanks for the submission!
Speaking on TMZ’s Inside The Ring, the former two-time WWE United States Champion explained why Roman Reigns isn’t in his league, as Reigns got everything in the industry thanks to his connections. Meanwhile, Knight had to earn his way to the top.
“Look, for a guy who had no connections to the business. My dad loaded trucks for a living. It’s a respectable living, but it didn’t do anything for me career-wise. When I look at that, and here’s a guy, Roman [Reigns], who had a famous family and this and that and all the advantages to get where he is… So, there is still a lot of great expectations that was put on him, and he still had to hold his end of the bargain up, and he’s certainly done that,” Knight said.
He added:
“The guy came into the business here, and now he’s here. I came in the business here, and now I’m here. You ask me, he ain’t in my league. You look at where I came from to where I am, it’s a whole different ballgame. So, I can respect everything that he has done and maintained with what he’s been given, but the key is what he’s been given,” Knight said.
Roman Reigns defeated LA Knight at WWE Crown Jewel 2023
Three years ago, LA Knight got a title shot against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, The Megastar didn’t win, as The Bloodline backed The Original Tribal Chief. However, the landscape has changed, and the Samoan faction is busy feuding with 946, leaving Reigns to defend his title without any backup in New Orleans.
