Masahiro Hayashi paid an emotional tribute to Rey Mysterio and praised him as he continues to fight. This comes amid rumors that the icon might soon be retiring.
Hayashi is the mask designer for Mysterio and he has been doing it for more than two decades. Rey Mysterio was recently in a match against Omos at Triplemania where he was hurt badly and taken out on a stretcher. After the match, a lot of fans started speculating that the WWE legend might be retiring soon.

His long term mask designer Hayashi took to Instagram and immediately paid tribute to the high flyer and his client. Posting a picture alongside him, he said:
“I created this design inspired by The Phantom. When @619iamlucha wrestled Eddie Guerrero at WCW Halloween Havoc 29 years ago. Back then, I never imagined this design would remain in everyone’s memories for so long. Tonight, I recreated new one for AAA’s biggest event, Triplemanía 34 in Las Vegas MGM Grand Arena. He continues to fight,both in our memories and in reality. Thank you for so many dreams.”
Rey Mysterio gives update on his Aalyah Mysterio’s progress
It was revealed last month that Aalyah Mysterio was training at the WWE Performance Center to become a wrestler. Rey Mysterio also confirmed that and in a recent interview with Sun Sports, the AAA General Manager gave an update on his daughter.
Speaking on her progress, Rey Mysterio said:
“She’s doing good. She’s about a month and a weekend of training in, and she picks up very fast. But she also gets very frustrated very easy, but it’s normal. She wasn’t around as much like Dom [was as a kid], backstage playing and hanging out with the boys and the wrestlers and the staff and crew. So, she struggles a little bit. She’s completely new to the industry in the sense that training, knowing wrestlers, knowing wrestling names, moves, all these little things that if you try to combine everything at once, you’re gonna go crazy cause there’s so much, so much to learn here! But she’s enjoying it very, very much.”
It is great to see that Aalyah Mysterio is looking to follow in the footsteps of her father and brother. It will be interesting to see when she will make her debut.
