After unveiling a new alternate logo alongside revamped gunmetal uniforms last season, it appears the BC Lions have promoted that logo to primary status.
As the Canadian Football League team based in Vancouver gears up for its 2025 regular season opener in early June, promotional photos and videos of players have shown them wearing the logo introduced last year on their helmets, pants and regular home jersey sleeves, suggesting it has supplanted the old version as the team’s primary logo.

The new logo uses roughly the same lion’s head as the previous version—with some of the line work cleaned up—but “BC” is set in a slightly italicized block font. The letters are black with orange outlines.

Throughout the offseason, the Lions slowly introduced the new logo in various applications, including their website and social media channels. The old logo does still appear in some digital materials, though.
The Lions are also using a retro interlocking “BC” monogram on merchandise and social media graphics. That logo appeared in orange on black helmet shells last season.
The Lions last revamped their uniforms prior to the 2023 season, introducing black home jerseys with orange numbers and stripes along with light “fog” grey away jerseys with black and orange striping.

The Lions open their preseason schedule on Monday, May 19, against the Calgary Stampeders. They open their 2025 CFL regular season on Saturday, June 7, when they host the Edmonton Elks at BC Place.
