Help Newly Released J6er James Grant Return to Law School! | The Gateway Pundit

Guest post by released J6 Prisoner James Tate Grant

Before January 6th, I had multiple scholarships to top law schools, including Washington and Lee and the University of Alabama. Unfortunately, my decision to protest at the Capitol threw a tiny, 3-year wrench in those plans – with plenty of torture thrown in for good measure.

When I first attended the Stop the Steal Rally, I was a 28-year-old political science major. I took the LSAT (Law School Admission Test) 10 days after the events at the Capitol and scored in the 92nd percentile. This high score helped me receive merit scholarships to these prestigious universities. Due to being arrested for January 6th, I simply never showed up for class.

Now, I’m turning 33 in a few months. I’m not at all the same person I was before this ordeal. For a victimless fence push, I served over 32 months in federal custody. I witnessed fights, abuse, and endured nightmare conditions. But most importantly, I found the love of a merciful God – by finding Christ in jail.

Thank you for the pardon, Mr. President!

It has always been my dream to become an attorney. While in jail, I witnessed the terrible representation so many defendants are forced to endure. My first attorney would not even return my calls. He didn’t answer a single phone call from jail – and I must have called over 40 times.

Seeing these attorneys’ poor performances, my desire to practice law burns brighter than ever. I worked my entire life to become a lawyer, and I know I would make a great one – and to get back into law school would be the sweetest redemption.

Telling my story at the Western Wake Republican Club in NC

My goal is to apply to as many schools as possible. However, it can cost upwards of $100 to apply to each law school. I need your help to reclaim my life. Each donation could pay for the application that changed my life.

Thank you so much for all the help you’ve given me. You have completely changed my life for the better – for your prayers, your donations, and your support. I am forever grateful and humbled.
