Here’s A Visual Guide to the Colors on the Euro 2024 Logo – Sports activitiesLogos.Net News

If you’ve been watching Euro 2024 this summer, you may have noticed the dizzying number of colors in the tournament logo and television graphics. But those colors are there and arranged the way there for a good reason.

The tournament kicked off on Friday, June 14, but the logo was unveiled back in October 2021. The 24 multi-colored stripes — one for each nation participating in the tournament — radiating out from the behind the trophy represent the flags of UEFA’s 55 member associations.

But, as Twitter user @Julian_H0ffman pointed out on Wednesday, the symbolism goes a little deeper than that. It turns out the colors were arranged in such a way that flag color combinations are kept together.

“Because UEFA EURO 2024 is all about diversity and inclusion, our logo include all the colour combinations in the flags of UEFA member nations,” reads the posted graphic.

VMLY&R Branding, a creative agency based in Lisbon, Portugal, designed and developed the Euro 2024 brand. You can see more of their work and find out more about their design choices on the tournament’s official Behance profile.
