Houston Texans Looking For First Win In All-Red Alternate Uniforms On Thursday Night Football – SportsLogos.Net News

The Houston Texans will wear their “Battle Red” alternate uniforms for – quite possibly – the only time this season when they host the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football, which kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime.

The uniforms, which were introduced in 2024 alongside new navy blue home, white road and “H-Town Blue” Color Rush uniforms, feature a candy red helmet with blue horns on the sides and the Texans’ primary logo on the back.

The horns are also displayed on the sleeves of the red jerseys, which feature navy blue numbers outlined in white beneath a white “Texans” wordmark, as well as matching red pants with a truncated blue and white striping pattern and red socks.

The Texans debuted the uniforms in a 26-23 loss to the Detroit Lions last November, thought it’s worth noting they also wore all-red uniforms – albeit with their previous helmet and uniform design – in a 24-21 loss the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2023 after adding a red shell to the rotation the season prior.

Houston wore its “H-Town Blue” Color Rush uniforms in a 26-15 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 26, leaving two additional opportunities to wear an alternate uniform this season. If their schedule announcement from May is any indication, though, they’ll only wear their primary home or road designs the rest of the year.

That said, the Texans have also painted the turf at NRG Stadium to match the uniforms for tonight’s game, with a two-color version of their primary logo at midfield and red end zones with a blue “Houston” wordmark flanked by the horns from the sleeves. The only difference between tonight and last year’s design is the colors of the primary logo, which was untouched for the loss to the Lions.
