Beam Resonance Tech is a special quest available from the Research Table in ARC Raiders. These quests unlock special upgrades for augmented weapons. The item in question is the Equalizer, which is a legendary-rarity experimental energy clip weapon. After completing all steps of this quest, Raiders can install the Ramping Damage upgrade on their Amplified Equalizer.

Quest overview

To acquire these quests, you must upgrade your Research Table to level 4, which requires upgrading the Outpost to level 4. This can be quite a lengthy grind, since Amplified Weapons are an endgame mechanic. Similar to every other research quest, Beam Resonance Tech has two steps. Let us take a look at both of them below:

How to complete

1) Deal 1500 damage to Vaporizers with an Equalizer in one round

Our first objective is to deal 1500 damage to Vaporizers in a single round using the Equalizer. Before starting this mission, it is best to get the Bigger Mag amplification upgrade, which requires 3x Pressure Regulators. You can get these from the Frigate or the Emperor dungeons.

Recommended loadout:

Looting Mk. 3 (Safekeeper)
Medium Shield
Amplified Equalizer (Bigger Mag) with 4-6 stacks of Energy ammo
Bettina IV with 4-6 stacks of Heavy ammo
Surge Shield Recharger, Shield Recharger
Vitaspray, Vita Shot, Herbal Bandages
Adrenaline shots

Recommended strategy:

Go to the Riven Tides map and head for the Hotel point of interest.
A Vaporizer often patrols the skies here.
Get up to the hotel roof and shoot the Vaporizer to grab its attention. Use the stairs as cover and use the Equalizer to deal consistent damage.
The hotel point of interest is filled with Pops and Fireballs, alongside other flying ARCs like Wasps, Hornets, and Fireflies. Use the Bettina to take them down.
If the Vaporizer dies before you can inflict 1500 damage, loot all the items from the husk to make another one spawn.

2) Complete research using 5000 Research Points and 2 Queen Reactors

For the final step of this mission, extract back to Speranza and use 2x Queen Reactors and 5000x Research Points to complete the mission. Next, you can install the Ramping Damage amplification mod using 3x Queen Reactors.
