Cat Fever in Where Winds Meet is a hidden Encounter Quest that you can find while exploring the Squarewall Hold in the Jade Gate Pass. In the mission, you find a cat and pet it several times, which gives you a cat fever that causes illusions. You must find help to treat the illness. Completing the quest will give you Echo Jades, Hexi Exploration, and more.

How to start the Cat Fever quest
You must first complete The Final Retreat Wandering Tales to unlock the Cat Fever Encounter Quest. Once that is done, go southwest of the Boundary Stone in Squarewall Hold to find the cat named Pawsie at the base of a tower and pet it five times. This will start the Cat Fever quest, and you can track it from the quest tab.
Seek help from the cat-addiction sufferer
Go to the marked location to find a girl with a white cat and speak with her.

Defeat the Utuk Raptor to obtain Birdman Feather and bring it to Furr-vent Immortal
Go east to find an Utuk Raptor and defeat it to obtain a Birdman Feather. Once that is done, return to the girl and give her the feather.
Pet the cat in front of you and confront Furr-vent Immortal
Pet the strange black cat. This will trigger another episode of illusion, and you must confront the girl about it.
Ask Purr-fect Immortal for help
Go to the old man and speak with him. He will show you a few photos of cats before running away.

Talk to the mysterious voice
In the next cutscene, you will be surrounded by several cats, and you must talk to the biggest one. The Cat-ismatic Immortal will offer you help to cure the illness, and you’ll get the option to agree or disagree. It doesn’t matter which option you pick since it won’t affect the outcome of the quest. Once the cutscene ends, it will also conclude the Cat Fever quest in Where Winds Meet.
