Theostones are engravings you can farm and equip on items in Aion 2 to get special effects. Each of them has an activation condition that either deals damage or applies a debuff to enemies, adding more utility to a build. A good thing about the Theostones is that they are also viable in PvP. In fact, many of them have effects that can give you a big advantage over those who don’t use them.
Every Theostone has a chance to trigger and a short cooldown, but they proc so often that the cooldown might as well not exist. However, farming them can be tricky as they are only available across limited content.
How to farm Theostones in Aion 2
Farming Theostones in Aion 2 takes time, as they come from select sources, including a few regional quests and Trade Shops. They are mainly a late-game reward, so you’ll want to reach character level 45 first. However, completing certain regional quests can grant you a few Theostones early on.
Regional Quests in Aion 2
Right now, only three quests in the game can reward you with Theostones through PvE content. Keep an eye out for A Traitor Within, Restless Spirit, and Regular Altar Maintenance, as completing them grants you a Rare Theostone Chest, which can give you one random reward. That’s right, you’ll need to make do with whatever you get, though all of them are useful.
Trade Shops in Aion 2
The second way to farm Theostones in Aion 2 is to compete in PvP activities. These include Abyss, Arena, and Battlefield. Each activity gives you Abyss Points, which you can spend in their shops to get the Rare Theostone Chest. Each chest costs 35,000 Abyss Points, and the reward is random, so getting all will take a while. You can earn Abyss Points without taking Part in PvP through Supply Requests, Regional Quests, and Seasonal Challenges, so PvP isn’t required.
How to use Theostones in Aion 2
While farming them is difficult, using Theostones on your gear is simple. Press ‘N’ to open the Enhancement window, then go to the ‘Theostone’ section, where you’ll see all items with an engraving slot. You can only slot Theostone into a weapon or a Guard, so select the one you want and click on ‘Engrave’ in the bottom right.
Like most things in the game, Theostones come in different rarities: Rare, Epic, and Unique. However, you can only get Rare ones through farming. To get higher rarities, combine Rare ones for a chance at Epic, and Epics for a chance at Unique.
