How to get Clobbopus in Pokemon GO, and might or not it’s shiny?

Clobbopus in Pokemon GO debuts on December 11, 2025, as part of the Well Armed event. It is a Fighting-type from the Galar region that evolves into Grapploct when fed 50 Candy. However, access to it has been put behind a Global Challenge. You must work together with trainers around the world to win 10,000,000 Max Battles.

Wild encounters

Once you complete the Global Challenge, you will find Clobbopus in the wild. The creature will be a common encounter between 10 am local time on Thursday, December 11, 2025, and 8 pm local time on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

As a mono-Fighting-type critter, it will benefit from Cloudy weather. This condition will improve its spawn rate and catch CP.

Research

Clobbopus will also appear in Field Research during the Well Armed event. Herein, it will be always at level 15 with a minimum of 10/10/10 IVs.

Trade

If you cannot find Clobbopus on your own, you can ask an in-game friend to trade you one. However, do note that it will count as a Special Trade, so make sure you have enough Stardust.


Can Clobbopus be shiny in Pokemon GO?

No, Shiny Clobbopus in Pokemon GO will not be available upon release. This alternate colored version will be available at some point, but there is no timeline.
