If you’ve been spending time exploring the Spaceport zone in ARC Raiders, you’ve probably noticed those giant towers with locked doors and generator panels nearby. Those aren’t just for show; they’re part of one of the game’s most rewarding world events, and to trigger it, you must collect Launch Towers Fuel Cells first.
Getting your hands on these Fuel Cells lets you power up the generators, open the tower doors, and climb to the top for high-tier loot and blueprints. It’s not hard once you know the routine, but the game doesn’t explain it clearly, so here’s how to do it right.
Let’s break it down step-by-step.
Everything you need to know about Fuel Cells in ARC Raiders
Fuel Cells always spawn in fixed zones around the Launch Towers at Spaceport, but their exact spots rotate slightly each event. They’re small, glowing cylinders that emit a faint orange-blue light, which is easy to miss if you’re sprinting past but obvious once you slow down and look closely.

There are two main areas where you can reliably find them:
1) Underground Access Points (Near the Tower Base) – This is the best area to start your search. Look for metal doorways leading into short underground tunnels, the kind built into the concrete foundation of the Spaceport. Fuel Cells often spawn:
- Right on the concrete edges around these doors.
- Just inside the tunnel entrance near the walls.
- Beside the generator boxes or stacked cargo crates close by.
If you’re running solo, clear any Raider patrols first. Once you pick up a Fuel Cell, your movement slows down, and you can’t shoot while carrying it. Clearing enemies before grabbing one saves you from messy fights.
2) Cargo Yard and Outer Ramps – If you don’t find any cells at the access points, check the Cargo Yard area nearby. This section has plenty of crashed drones, storage containers, and ramps, all of which are common spawn spots.
Fuel Cells here tend to rest near the corners of metal walkways or under small floodlights. You might also find one tucked next to a broken transport vehicle. They’re easier to spot at dusk or night, when the glow is more visible. During the day, use your Scanner Pulse to highlight them. The outline will pop up for a few seconds, even behind cover.
Once you’ve collected a Fuel Cell, take it to the Launch Tower generator console, which is usually near the tower’s zipline platform. You’ll see glowing slots where the cells go. Place one Fuel Cell into each slot until the generator fully powers up.

When it’s done, the heavy doors will unlock, and you’ll gain access to the zipline leading to the upper levels of the tower. After the tower is active, use the zipline or climb your way to the top. There’s a console or button up there that starts the event. Once you press it, a short wave of ARC drones and flying enemies will spawn.
Hold your ground and survive the attack. When the final enemy drops, a high-tier loot chest will appear next to the console. This chest can contain rare gear, weapon blueprints, and crafting materials.
If you miss the event or someone else triggers it before you arrive, don’t worry, it resets roughly every six hours. The typical times are around 3 am, 9 am, 3 pm, and 9 pm CT, though the exact schedule can shift slightly depending on server rotation.
Once the timer resets, the Fuel Cells respawn, too. You can rerun the route, collect them again, and restart the event for another shot at rare loot.
