One of Gen 3’s best Pokemon, Numel and Camerupt, return in Pokemon Legends Z-A. This line boasts a unique Ground/fire typing, making for a somewhat unorthodox combo. Additionally, with Numel’s evolution also getting a new Mega Evolution for this series entry, players may be interested in how to get these Pokemon to try it out.
This guide has all there is to know about Numel and Camerupt in Pokemon Legends Z-A, including how to get them. Here are the details.

How to get Numel in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Numel can be caught in Wild Zone 8 after it is accessible in the story. Note that this is one of the smallest Wild Zones in the game. Pair that with several Pokemon spawns in the vicinity, catching Numel will be a little tough as players must contend with other wild Pokemon as they attack the player on sight.
How to get Camerupt in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Camerupt evolves from Numel at level 33. That said, an Alpha Camerupt can be found in Wild Zone 8 once all Pokemon in it have been caught. Alpha creatures are larger than normal versions and have red glowing eyes. They often attack the player on sight and are fairly high-level relative to the rest of the Wild Zone spawns.
The Alpha Camerupt found in this area is at level 39, so players should have a team capable of beating it. Camerupt and Numel both are 4x weak to Water moves, which should make quick work of even the Alpha creature. Once obtained, players will be able to Mega Evolve it too using a Cameruptite.
This key item is obtained by finishing Main Mission 12, which sees players take on a Rogue Mega Camerupt. Mega Evolution is a returning mechanic from the predecessor game Pokemon X & Y, where certain Pokemon take on new forms while also gaining increased stats. Since Mega Evolved creatures can only be easily beaten by other Mega Pokemon, it is advised to have one on the team.
