How to say new SMG pores and skin in 007 First Light (Gilded SMG)

The new SMG skin (Gilded SMG) in 007 First Light features a golden finish, which you can acquire with a couple of minutes of effort. As long as you own the game, there are no obstacles, challenges, or unlocks other than creating an account. Only a small configuration will determine whether the new skin will appear in your inventory or not.

Thus, if the player already owns the game, they are halfway through the process. Below are the detailed instructions on claiming the new SMG skin (Gilded SMG) in 007 First Light.

Steps to claim the new SMG skin in 007 First Light (Gilded SMG)

The requirements are quite simple, as you only need to own 007 First Light and have an account at IO Interactive (IOI). These two conditions are enough to receive the new SMG skin reward, and the next step is to bring the two together.

1) Register or log in on the IOI portal

The first step is to visit IO Interactive ‘s official website and either register or sign in to their portal. Players who already have an account at IO Interactive do not need to complete this step, as their inventory will be updated automatically.

2) Confirm the skin in Rewards & Bonuses

Once you are signed in, open the “Rewards & Bonuses” tab. This is where you can verify that the Gilded SMG skin has been successfully linked to your profile. If it shows up in the options listed there, the claim has gone through.

3) Equip it in-game

Claiming the new SMG skin and wearing it are two separate steps, and the second one has a catch. The customization menu only opens up after you have played past the prologue and the introductory chapters, so a fresh save will have to progress a little first.

When you get there, the route is simple:

• From the main menu, go to Customizations, then Weapons.
• Select your weapon.
• Toggle the skin to the newly unlocked Gilded SMG style.

That is all it takes. The skin does not change how the weapon plays, but it does give the Gilded SMG a gold finish that stands out against the rest of your loadout. If that’s not enough, you can also check out our guide on obtaining the One More outfit (Twitch drop).
