The Thermal Breach animated camo is a secret reward in the newly introduced mode called Iron Gauntlet. To unlock it, you need to win three Iron Gauntlet matches with 25 eliminations or more.
This mode is currently in its beta version, where the developers are going to refine the mode based on user feedback, and it will return later in the season, most likely with the launch of Season 2 Reloaded. Here you play in Duos, and the matches are high stakes since they follow a competitive Battle Royale ruleset with scarce loot. For instance, getting an Epic or Legendary weapon is rare, and killstreaks and cash are much harder to find.
Here are the core mechanics that make this mode so intense:
- Economy adjustment: There are no free Loadout drops, and the items in Buy Stations have much higher prices.
- Fast circle collapse: It features high intensity since the circles collapse faster than a standard Battle Royale, and there are limited vehicle options, where only Bikes and ATVs are available.
- Slow TTK: The highlight feature is the slow Time to Kill, as players have a higher health pool that is raised from 150 to 300. Furthermore, the health regeneration is significantly delayed.
- Squad option: A match is played in Verdansk with 150 players divided into 75 squads. The duo that stands last is the winner.
It is a tough battle, so acquiring this particular Thermal Breach animated camo may be a little challenging for some players, and it can take some time to unlock it.
