Following his disappointing world title loss at AEW Double or Nothing, a huge announcement on Darby Allin’s immediate future has just been made. He is set for a major appearance this weekend.
At the pay-per-view two weeks ago, Allin ended up losing to MJF during their Hair vs. Title match. He had a great showing against Friedman and made sure to push him to his limit. Unfortunately, in his case, it was he who finally ran out of gas, and this resulted in a new champion being crowned that night.
Darby Allin has not been seen since his loss at AEW Double or Nothing. He has taken to his Instagram Story, mentioning how he’ll be at River City Wrestling Con tomorrow night at the World Gold Village Renaissance Resort in St. Augustine, Florida. He also revealed that his schedule will be from 11 am to 2 pm.

Darby Allin received great praise internally following his AEW world title reign
Darby had a unique type of world title reign as he defended it on multiple occasions weekly. This resulted in several blockbuster matches over the past month, but in return took a toll on his in-ring condition.
It was reported that he received great praise for this as he went the extra mile during his reign. He also got positive feedback from his matches, and it was also revealed that MJF has been supportive of an Allin title reign for some time now.
Friedman caught wind of this report and claimed that it was fake news, as he wanted to keep his kayfabe image of him hating Darby Allin alive.
Now that he is no longer the world champion, it remains to be seen what’ll be next for Darby. During the pay-per-view, he was suddenly attacked by Kevin Knight, so this could be a new feud they could focus on when he comes back.
