Huge announcement on high champion’s speedy future following his enormous win over Jon Moxley on AEW Dynamite

A top champion just defeated Jon Moxley on AEW Dynamite. A huge announcement has now been made regarding his future.

Claudio Castagnoli has been having an incredible run as of late, especially after winning the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship. His good fortune continued into Dynamite. This week on AEW Dynamite, Claudio Castagnoli faced off against Jon Moxley in a Continental Classic Tournament match. Both men delivered a brutal spectacle as expected. Although Moxley was the favorite to win the match, it was Claudio who walked away with the win.

Following this win, it has been announced that Claudio Castagnoli will defend his CMLL World Heavyweight Championship against Ultimo Guerrero on December 19 in Arena Mexico.

Jon Moxley broke his silence after his loss to Claudio Castagnoli on AEW Dynamite

Jon Moxley hasn’t been having the best of time as of late. He tapped out in the Blood & Guts match and then submitted to Kyle O’Reilly again at Full Gear. On Dynamite, he wasn’t able to beat Claudio Castagnoli despite being the Death Riders’ leader. However, it appears that Mox is not upset over this loss.

Following AEW Dynamite, the cameras caught up with Death Riders, who were doing push-ups after their respective matches. Moxley said that he would’ve been upset if Claudio didn’t bring his best for their match. He also said he’s happy if Claudio is happy because if one of them wins the Continental Classic, then it’s a win for the group.

“I’d be pi**ed at you if you came at me with anything less. I’m happy, if you’re happy, I’m happy. Claudio wins the Continental Classic, we all win, Pac wins the Continental Classic, we all win. [Claudio: ‘Mox wins the continental classic, we all win.’] I’m trying to outrun who I was yesterday. Tomorrow, I’ll be trying to outrun who I am today. That’s what we’re about, that’s what we do, that’s all we do,” Moxley said.

It will be interesting to see if Claudio Castagnoli’s good fortune will continue on December 19.
