Appearing on Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream, Ciattarelli dismissed establishment polling that shows him trailing Democrat Mikie Sherrill, calling the data “not accurate.”
“Not to be disagreeable, but our polls have it much closer,” Ciattarelli said. “It’s the reason why you’ve seen my opponent get so desperate with her attacks and blatant lies — one of which is going to land her in court.”
He noted that his last bid for governor in 2021 came down to razor-thin margins — and this time, he feels the tide turning.
“I only have 2021 to compare this to. You remember how close that was? I really thought we were going to win that race. This one is very different. The energy across this state is electric,” Ciattarelli continued.
This week, President Donald Trump called on Republicans across Virginia and New Jersey to deliver a red wave at the ballot box, throwing his full support behind conservative candidates Winsome Sears for Virginia Governor, and Jack Ciattarelli for New Jersey Governor.
