Iconic AEW Duo Announce Hiatus; WWE Star Rusev Dumbfounded

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage currently hold the AEW World Tag Team Titles. They won these belts by dethroning the previous champions, FTR, at Double or Nothing 2026. Their match was extraordinary, and it received a five-star rating from Dave Meltzer.

FTR consists of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. They are immensely talented in-ring competitors, and Tony Khan has a lot of faith in them. Interestingly, Harwood recently announced on Instagram that he and Wheeler are going on a hiatus. The 41-year-old said that he and his tag team partner have been working nonstop for more than a decade and are taking a break. He even said that he is not sure when they will return.

“Since the summer of 2014, The Revival, FTR, Dawson & Dash, Dax & Cash, whatever you want to call us, we’ve had the pedal to the floor…..For the first time in 12 years, we’ve decided to step away and take some time for ourselves & for our families. I’m not sure when we’ll be back, what we’re going to do, how much longer we have, or if we even need to prove anything at all anymore,” wrote the AEW star.

This announcement dumbfounded WWE star Rusev. He responded with one word.

“Wow,” he wrote.

Rusev is a former AEW star. He was known as Miro in the Tony Khan-led promotion. Furthermore, he is a former TNT Champion.

AEW star Cash Wheeler says that Eddie Guerrero is one of his top three of all time

LNG Productions recently interviewed Cash Wheeler. In this conversation, the former WWE star praised the legendary Eddie Guerrero. He even said that the deceased star is one of his top three of all time.

“He could switch characters in the blink of an eye. You have seen him do it. Like with the Ray stuff where he’s Latino Heat Eddie. You can watch the the change take over him. I recently had a conversation with a friend. He is the top three of all time. My personal top three of all time are Eddie, Brett Hart and Terry Funk,” he said.

Only time will tell what the future holds for FTR. Hopefully, their hiatus will not be for long.
