AEW star MJF decided to make a surprising statement after an interesting topic was brought up by a fan on social media.
A fan dropped a tweet about CM Punk, who has been absent from WWE television programming since the RAW after WrestleMania 42. This was his last appearance yet, one night after Roman Reigns defeated him for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Night 2 of WrestleMania. The fan said that he wanted to see The Best in the World return as a heel. Another user took notice and claimed that heels do not work anymore in 2026.
This caught the attention of Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF), who also joined in the conversation. The former AEW World Champion took to his X to say that, although he did not know what a heel was, he asked the fan to look beyond WWE to other companies, including his own promotion, All Elite Wrestling.
“Idk what a heel is. But sounds to me like you should broaden your horizons. Theres more than one company. @AEW.”
MJF has a high-stakes match for AEW Double or Nothing 2026
MJF has been embroiled in a heated feud with Darby Allin for over a month now. The Invisible Man defeated him in a squash match on the Dynamite after the AEW Dynasty 2026 pay-per-view and became the new AEW World Champion. This was a major setback for The Salt of the Earth, which had been on an exceptional run as champion.
Since that night, Maxwell had been demanding a rematch for the championship. However, Allin constantly said that Big Hebrew had to put something on the line as well. Last week on Dynamite, Allin said that MJF would have to put his precious hair at stake to get the rematch, which left him stunned.
This week on Dynamite, The Devil came out after Allin’s successful title defense against Konosuke Takeshita in the main event. After a heated choice of words, Maxwell finally signed the contract for the ‘Hair vs Title match’ at Double or Nothing 2026. So it will be interesting to see if Maxwell could regain the World Championship or leave the pay-per-view with a bald head.
