IN PICS: Jazzy Davidson flexes mannequin power in fashionable IG dump that includes stylish outfits, mirror snaps & Coachella enjoyable

USC freshman guard Jazzy Davidson shared a carousel on Instagram, featuring different highlights from her “April dump.” The carousel contained random pictures from Coachella and of Davidson posing with the USBWA Freshman of the Year trophy. Davidson captioned the post, “A glimpse of April.”

April was largely a month of rest for most in college basketball, including Davidson, as the season culminated in March Madness. The 19-year-old freshman concluded her first season with the Trojans with impressive numbers. She averaged 17.9 points, 4.1 assists, and 5.6 rebounds in 32 games for USC.

Jazzy Davidson was an elite recruit out of high school, considered No. 1 in her class by ESPN. She signed with the Trojans over offers from other top programs, including UConn, UCLA, TCU, and Duke.

The Trojans started the season without star guard JuJu Watkins, who was out for the season with an ACL injury. This raised concerns about the team’s chances, with a lot of expectations resting on Davidson to make the difference. Davidson led the Trojans to a 17-13 regular-season finish, placing ninth in the Big Ten.

One of the major highlights of Davidson’s freshman season came in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament against the Clemson Tigers. She scored 31 points, six rebounds, and five assists. She became the first freshman in 25 years to record a 30-point, 5-rebound, and 5-assist performance in their NCAA Tournament debut.

She also set a program record for the most points by a USC freshman in the NCAA Tournament, as well as the second-most overall. Jazzy Davidson recorded double figures in scoring in 30 of the 32 games she played in the past season. These include a 26-game streak from Nov. 18 through Mar. 1.

Which awards did Jazzy Davidson win?

Perhaps the crowning moment of Davidson’s season came when she was named the USBWA National Freshman of the Year and WBCA Freshman of the Year.

“We have had some freshmen provide us with some phenomenal performances over the years,” USBWA vice president Mel Greenberg said. “Jazzy Davidson has been right in line game after game as another watchable attraction for women’s basketball.”

Davidson will have more capable hands on the Trojans team next season with Watkins’ return, Saniyah Hall’s signing, and Ryann Bennett arriving from the portal.

The Trojans will be looking to be more competitive next season and climb up the pecking order in the Big Ten.
