Indianapolis Colts To Put on 1956 Throwback Uniforms On Saturday – SportsLogos.Web Information

The Indianapolis Colts introduced this week they’ll wear their 1956 throwback uniforms throughout Saturday’s recreation in opposition to the Pittsburgh Steelers, which kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET on NFL Community.

The uniforms notably function two horseshoes on the again of the white helmets, three white stripes on the sleeves of the blue jerseys, a single blue stripe down the perimeters of the white pants and blue socks with stripes that match the sleeves.

The look made its debut in a 38-31 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021 and returned in a 24-17 loss to the Steelers final season. The Colts Cheerleaders – the NFL’s first cheer squad – also wore time-appropriate uniforms for both games

The Colts, who had been based mostly in Baltimore from their founding in 1953 till they relocated to Indianapolis in 1984, gained consecutive championships in 1958-59. Nevertheless, their uniforms on the time had been nearly equivalent to what they put on now.

That features UCLA stripes on the shoulders of their blue and white jerseys, horseshoes on each side of their white helmets, in addition to a single blue stripe within the heart, and two blue stripes down the perimeters of their white pants.
