Kittle was at Iowa from 2012 to 2016, before the 49ers took him in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft. Meanwhile, Pearsall spent three seasons at Arizona State before transferring to Florida in 2022, where he played the final two years of his career. San Francisco took wideout Pearsall with the No. 31 pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
After beating the reigning national champions in the Round of 32 in March Madness, Iowa will face No. 4 seed Nebraska in the Sweet 16 on Thursday.
George Kittle’s 49ers own No. 27 pick in Round 1 of 2026 NFL draft

George Kittle‘s 49ers qualified for the playoffs in the 2025 season. San Francisco beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild-card round, but it crashed out of the playoffs with a 41-6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the divisional round.
The 49ers own the No. 27 pick in Round 1 of this year’s draft. They will be aiming to fine-tune their roster in the draft to make a push for the Super Bowl next season.
