“Is She Badder Than Anamaria Goltes?”: NBA Fans Go Crazy Over Malika Andrews’ Glowing Postgame Moment With Luka Doncic

NBA fans went crazy on social media after ESPN’s Malika Andrews interviewed LA Lakers star Luka Doncic.

Doncic was the player of the game in the Lakers’ 127-105 opening-night win against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. He led the team with 28 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals.

After the win, Andrews interviewed him about his performance. However, fans on X edited the interview footage to make it look flirty.

NBA fans reacted to the edited video.

“Is she badder than Anamaria Goltes?” a fan said.

“Single Luka been moving different,” one fan commented.

On Thursday, Andrews posted a clip of her interview with the Lakers star on her Instagram story. She asked the six-time All-Star, who said, “This is the start of something new,” if it was a reference to High School Musical.

“A little bit, for sure,” the star said.

Doncic is known to be a massive High School Musical fan.

Luka Doncic is single after breaking up with Anamaria Goltes in March. The two were a couple for about 10 years. They were engaged in July 2023 and have two daughters together.

Andrews, meanwhile, is happily married to fellow ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin. The couple tied the knot on August 24, 2024.

Luka Doncic Sent a Hopeful Message to Lakers Fans

Luka Doncic wanted to welcome the fans with a win to start the 2026-27 NBA season. Doncic spoke to reporters after the game about appreciating fans with a strong opening win.

“We want the support from fans,” he explained. “I know they work hard to get to the games, to get to the arena. So, I always had something in me that tells me I need to have that connection with the fans. So, trying to welcome them to the new season and let them know that we really appreciate their support.”

Now that he’s the face of the franchise, the six-time All-NBA wants fans to know how much he cares. Doncic also gave a hopeful comment about his future with the Lakers.

“It’s one of the biggest organizations in the world, if not the biggest,” Doncic added. “So, it’s a very big honor just to be the face of this franchise. And I hope I can stay here long.”

Luka Doncic is now the face of the Lakers after LeBron James left during the offseason.
